ABOUT GOVERNMENT INFORMATION - COLLECTION PROFILES
UC Davis library collects government information in all formats and from many government agencies.
Government publications and information are multidisciplinary in subject. They are important to find statistical data, congressional, legislative, and regulatory information, policy analysis, scientific and technical data and much more. Most government publications are included in the library's Harvest UC Davis Catalog.
We provide assistance with government documents and government information from the Research Support Services Consultation Desk on the Second Floor in Shields Library.
The library is a selective depository library for United States Federal Government Information, receiving congressional and executive agency documents, both print and online, from the U.S. Government Printing Office through the Federal Depository Library Program.
The library is a California state government depository library and also collects local and regional government publications from Yolo County, Davis, City of Sacramento, the Sacramento Regional Council of Governments, and other local and regional governments.
International organization publications and information are collected extensively from the United Nations, FAO, OECD, IMF and other organizations, and the library is also a depository for Asian Development Bank publications. Foreign government documents are also collected selectively.
