About the Economic & Business Census

The Economic Census is taken every five years (2002, 2007, 2012, etc.) for every industry.  Statistics are for U.S., states, metro areas, counties, and cities.

Additional economic and business data is collected as Economic Indicators monthly or quarterly for selected sectors at the national level.

Other Economic Programs survey selected sectors and provide interim information.
