Here's How We Can Help
Research Services for the Biological, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences
Librarian Office Hours: Peter J. Shields Library, 3rd Floor Research Support Services Office (Room 388) [Map]
Librarians, trained in the biological, agricultural and environmental sciences are available to help with class assignments, term papers and advanced research projects. Please see available appointment times.
We are available to help with research projects. We can meet with individuals or with groups for consultations to help make the best use of library resources. We can schedule anything from one-time meetings to sustained research collaborations spanning the duration of the project. Tell us what you are working on, so we can make sure the library is serving your needs. Contact a Librarian Subject Specialist to make an appointment.
We provide Subject Guides highlighting databases, bibliographies, reference sources and other research aids. We also offer email reference and a 24/7 Chat Service. Visit: http://www.lib.ucdavis.edu/ul/help/
New Acquisitions and Book Requests:
The Library strives to provide the latest information to support UC Davis research and instruction. We are interested in hearing about advances and new directions in your fields of study. If you would like the Library to purchase an item important for research or instruction, please contact your Subject Specialist.
Library Research Classes, Orientations, and Tours:
We offer classes and tours throughout the year geared to introduce students to library research. These classes are taught on a regular schedule and may also be offered on request. We can develop a session to meet the specific needs of a class or group. Contact your Subject Specialist to find out how we can help jump-start your students’ research projects. We offer these classes in the library or in your classroom.
Government Information Assistance:
The University Library collects and supports research using International, Federal, State and Local government publications and data. Visit the Governement Information site to find out more: Government Information Services
